Message from the District President 2026
To the Beloved IAG Family of the Western Cape District,
Grace and peace to you from Him who is, and who was, and who is to come.
As I sit to write this message, the phrase the Lord has laid on my heart is one of holy momentum. We are standing at the precipice of 2026, not as a congregation that has arrived, but as an expedition that has only just begun to move. We are moving from a place we know, into the Uncharted Territories of His purpose.
For too long, we have been content with familiar landmarks—our comfortable pews, our predictable programmes, the safe and the known. But the Spirit of God is a wind, and it does not blow in circles; it blows us forward into the deep. The Western Cape, with its majestic mountains and vast oceans, is a picture of our mandate: there are peaks of His glory yet to be scaled and depths of human need yet to be reached. The territory ahead is uncharted not because God is lost, but because He is calling us to a faith that requires a new map—one drawn not by our logic, but by His leading.
This movement into the unknown is not a solo expedition. It is a wildfire. And that brings me to the second holy fire burning in my spirit: Revival.
Revival is not a conference we attend; it is a contagion we carry. It starts with one. One heart fully surrendered. One prayer that refuses to be silent. One act of radical obedience. That one spark, when fanned by the Holy Spirit, catches. It spreads to the next person, and the next. It leaps from a pew in Mitchells Plain to a home in George, from a youth group in Paarl to a senior citizen in Worcester.
This is our strategy for 2026. It is not top-down, but heart-to-heart. It is a grassroots fire. Imagine what would happen if just one person in every one of our IAG churches truly caught the flame of personal revival. They would not be able to contain it. They would ignite their family, their small group, their workplace. That is the revival we are believing for—a self-spreading, life-transforming fire that no power of darkness can extinguish.
So, I encourage you, dear pastors, leaders, and saints. Do not fear the uncharted waters. The One who walks on water is in the boat with us. Do not despise the small spark. The smallest flame, when carried by the wind of the Spirit, can become a veld fire of grace.
Let us step forward together. Let us pray for the spark to fall. Let us be the one from whom it spreads to the next, until the whole of the Western Cape District is ablaze with the love of Jesus Christ.
The territories are vast. The harvest is ready. And our God is able.
